How to print barcode labels
Labels with a barcode let you bill at the counter with a scanner. Make them from your saved items, on A4 label sheets or a label printer roll.
Step by step
- Have your items ready. Items without a code can get one with Give codes.
- Tick items and the number of labels. Change the label price if needed, or add a label by hand.
- Choose the sheet and barcode type. A4 sheets of 65, 40, 24, 21 or 14, label rolls, or your own size; Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A or QR.
- Choose what to print. Name, code, price as MRP or plain price, your business name.
- Print at 100% with no margins. For A4 you can also share a PDF.
- Scan when you need to. Open Scan to read codes with the camera or a USB scanner; save unknown codes as new items.
Worked example
40 wall putty bags and 65 brushes: on 65-label sheets that is 2 sheets (105 labels). Code 128, MRP printed. At the billing counter a scan adds the item at once.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- Labels shifted on the sheet. Print at 100% (not "fit to page") with margins none.
