Free barcode label maker and scanner
Print barcode labels for the items you already saved, with name and price, on A4 label sheets or a label printer. Scan barcodes with your phone camera or a USB scanner to find items or add new ones. No login, nothing sent to anyone.
How to print barcode labels here
- Have your items ready. Items you saved while billing, or in My data, are listed here. Items without a code can get one with "Give codes".
- Tick items and type how many labels. Change the price on the label if needed, or add a label by hand.
- Choose the sheet and barcode type. A4 sheets of 65, 40, 24, 21 or 14 labels, label printer rolls, or your own sizes; Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A or QR.
- Choose what to print. Item name, the code under the barcode, price as MRP or plain price, and your business name.
- Check the preview and print. Print at 100% with no margins; for A4 sheets you can also share a PDF.
- Scan when you need to. Open Scan to read barcodes with the camera or a USB scanner, and save unknown codes as new items.
What it does for you
- Labels from your items: names, codes and rates come from the items already saved in your Nivesh Sahayak data.
- Any sheet or roll: common A4 label sheets, label printer sizes, or your own measurements, with a start position for half-used sheets.
- Right check digits: EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC-A check digits are added or checked for you.
- Codes for items without one: one press gives every item a unique code, saved on the item.
- Phone scanner: scan with the camera or a USB scanner; known items are found, unknown codes can become new items.
- Works with the other tools: the same item list as billing., the stock register and the Nivesh Sahayak App.
Your data stays with you
Everything you type is kept in this browser on this device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded to us. Your businesses, customers, suppliers and items are shared with the other Nivesh Sahayak document tools through my.niveshsahayak.in, so details you saved while making an invoice or a quotation are already here as suggestions.

Questions people ask
Do I need to buy barcode numbers?
Not for labels used inside your own shop or godown: any unique code works, and the tool can give your items codes. If other shops, supermarkets or marketplaces will sell your product, they usually ask for a GTIN (EAN-13) from GS1 India, which is paid.
Which label sheet should I buy?
For price and shelf labels, 40 or 65 labels per A4 sheet; for name, price and barcode with more room, 24 or 21 per sheet. Check the sizes on the pack and use "My own sizes" if they differ.
Why do my labels not line up with the sheet?
The browser probably scaled the page. Print at 100% (actual size), margins none, headers and footers off, on A4. Then test on plain paper and adjust the margins if needed.
Can my phone scan barcodes here?
Yes. Open Scan and press Start camera. It works in Chrome and Edge on Android and on most newer phones; a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner also works by typing into the box.
Will MRP labels from here meet the packaging rules?
A price sticker alone is not enough for pre-packed goods: rule 6 of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 asks for more declarations on the pack. Check the current rules on consumeraffairs.nic.in.
Is my item data sent to you?
No. Items and codes stay in this browser, in the Nivesh Sahayak data home shared with the other tools. Camera pictures are not saved or sent anywhere.
